Christmas Tree Scouting!
I am happy to be a country woman who was raised on a cattle ranch in one of the prettiest valleys in Northern California. My husband and I currently live on 15 acres farming walnuts, grass hay, flower and vegetable gardens. We feel blessed to live only a mile away from the family ranch where my mother still reigns. "Mom", lovingly known as Mother Hen, is the hub that keeps our wheels turning.
My greatest desire is to cultivate Peace, Hope & Love. "The harvest of justice is sown in peace for those who cultivate peace."
I was raised up in the Catholic faith and am still an active member of the same church where Jim and I were married over 30 years ago. We raised our 3 children as Christians who received Sacraments from this same church. Queen of the Rosary is a small mission church that radiates peace and love to all who enter. Webster's New World Dictionary describes the word catholic as a member of the universal Christian church. I believe that there is "one God and Father of all, who is over all, and works through all, and in all." Ephesians 4:6.
My journey into making rosaries began several years ago when Queen of the Rosary Ladies Guild began making rosaries for the troops. What a rewarding experience! This led to a new found passion for beading and the desire to share my creations through an online presence. I chose the name RaesSpirit representative of one of my favorite Bible quotes:
"Do not stifle the Spirit. Test everything; retain what is good."
